[photo] haleakala crater summit

ok,
prior to arriving at the summit
i was wearing a t-shirt and shorts
in addition to my nifty sandals
89F at the bottom of the mountain crater
and 53F at the top
the windchill was cold enough to make my ears ache
from the inside out
within 2 minutes or so
plus, i lost my balance several times
when particularly strong gusts
tossed my 220lb being around
like a matrix guy in fast motion
:P
being the hardy canuck that i am
i kept taking photos at the summit
until i couldn't feel my toes
or hear anything
cool eh?
