quick "hi" from the island

despite having a flight cancelled
on the way over
and the next flight delayed
i'm on the island safe and sound
and enjoying some good company
and good diving
today was the first day
(of diving)
and the weather co-operated nicely
it was cold and cloudy in the morning
but just as we were getting ready
to board the boat
the sun came out
and stayed out for the rest of the day
started off neat too
when i got to ryan's
(restaurant where we meet in the morning)
and jack wasn't there
and i was told he didn't make it to the island
and this went on
for about 1/2 an hour
until jack arrived
hehehe,
what a bunch of jokers :P

yesterday was neat,
popped over to butchart gardens
to see charles
in the middle of this pole carving
or nearing the end of that i should say
and that was cool
never been to the gardens
and while i was waiting for him to arrive
had the chance to take a look around
quite neat
tho the totem pole stuff
is way neater
ended the evening
with a nice supper with good friends
after going for a quick swim
at the commonwealth pool
(love that facility!)

now,
i'm off to eat a late supper
and then go watch that diving movie
(open water)
with a bunch of divers
i'll let you know

after i see it :)
